These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Speakka, including the website and mobile app. By using Speakka, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Speakka.

1. What Speakka is

Speakka is a vocabulary learning game. It is free to play. Creating an account is optional, but signing in allows your progress to be saved and synced across devices. A paid subscription is available to remove ads and unlock additional content.

2. Your account

Sign-in is handled through Google. You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your account. You must not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of others without their consent. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to cheat, exploit bugs, or manipulate game scores or league rankings.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with Speakka.
• Attempt to access another user's account or data.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy any part of Speakka's content or systems.
• Use Speakka in any way that violates applicable law.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

4. Intellectual property

All content in Speakka — including the game, design, vocabulary content, code, and brand — is owned by Speakka. Nothing in these Terms gives you any ownership rights. You may use Speakka for personal, non-commercial learning purposes only.

5. Ads

The free tier of Speakka is supported by advertising. Ads may appear between game sessions. We do not show ads during active gameplay. You can remove ads by subscribing to Speakka Pro.

6. Subscription

Speakka Pro is an optional paid subscription, processed by Paddle. By subscribing:

• You authorise us to charge you on a recurring basis (monthly or as stated at purchase).
• Your subscription auto-renews unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future charges — you retain access for the remainder of the paid period.
• We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods, except where required by law.

7. Disclaimer

Speakka is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that vocabulary content is perfectly accurate. Use Speakka as one tool among many for language learning.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Speakka is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Speakka after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Termination

You can stop using Speakka at any time. We can suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. If we close a paid account without cause, we will refund any unused subscription time.
